Friends wondered why I spent so much time refurbishing the first floor apartment at 1056 Gillespie Street. Yes, it needed a fresh coat of paint, but I have to confess to malingering.  I have so many happy memories of dinner parties in the elegant dining room, I didn’t want to leave. But the apartment is ready, so I’m putting away my paint brushes and opening the doors… (Wow this apartment has a lot of doors!)
